About the role
IProtect Global is looking for a sharp, self-directed Investigator to join our UK enforcement team on a fully remote basis. You'll investigate counterfeiting, trademark abuse and IP theft targeting our clients' brands — operating across digital platforms and physical markets throughout the UK and Europe.
Working closely with our legal partners and client teams, you'll gather intelligence, build evidence files and contribute to enforcement actions that directly recover revenue for our clients. This is a role for someone who combines investigative instinct with rigorous documentation — and who wants their work to have real, measurable impact.
What you'll do
- Conduct digital and physical investigations into counterfeiting and IP infringement targeting client brands across UK and European markets
- Monitor and investigate infringing activity across major marketplaces including Amazon, eBay, Vinted, TikTok Shop and others
- Execute test purchase operations and document transactions to litigation-ready evidential standard
- Produce detailed investigation reports for use by IP solicitors, barristers and enforcement agencies
- Coordinate with Trading Standards, HMRC, Border Force and other UK enforcement bodies as required
- Attend markets, trade events and distribution locations to gather ground-level intelligence
- Input intelligence into the IProtect platform to support cross-case pattern analysis
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience in investigations — brand protection, Trading Standards, law enforcement, private investigation or similar
- Strong understanding of counterfeit supply chains and UK/EU marketplace enforcement
- Experience producing clear, well-structured investigation reports
- Ability to manage your own caseload independently in a remote environment
- Comfortable conducting covert test purchases and maintaining operational security
- UK right to work required
Nice to have
- Direct experience in brand protection or anti-counterfeiting enforcement
- Existing relationships with Trading Standards, Border Force or HMRC
- Familiarity with OSINT techniques or digital investigation platforms
- European language skills — particularly useful for cross-border cases
What we offer
- Competitive salary, reviewed annually
- Fully remote — work from anywhere in the UK
- Work on globally significant IP enforcement cases with real outcomes
- Access to cutting-edge intelligence tools and legal resource
- A collaborative, high-performance team culture with genuine career development
